Eco Performance Builders moves to new facility
We have moved to a larger office and shop in Concord. We needed more room for our supplies and offices and we found a great place to suit all of our needs. We are now located at 5063 Commercial Cir, Concord, CA.
One of the big reasons for moving to this location is it’s location to Bart. With Bart less than a mile away we can easily bike or walk to Bart for commuting to and from work.
Eco Performance Builders in the Energy Upgrade California program
We are proud to announce that we are amongst a handful of contractors in California to be apart of this program. It gives our customers the opportunity to receive up to $4,000 in incentive money for doing our normal work to their homes. It works by modeling energy savings before a retrofit. If you can model 20% savings, you get $2,000 and for every 1% above that you receive an additional $500 all the way to $4,000. You are also still able to receive the great benefits from Cash for Appliances, Federal and other incentives too!
We are very experienced with energy modeling and energy retrofits and in the normal home it is not too difficult to reach the 20% goal. So if you are thinking of doing a furnace change, duct sealing, insulation or other measures to your home, make sure you give us a call first. If you don’t use an Energy Upgrade California contractor for the work you will be missing out on big savings.
BPI Heating and Envelope certifications
Eco Performance Builders has added Heating and Envelope certifications to their Building Performance Institute (BPI) profile. In February we began testing for the additional Heating and Envelope certifications and in July we were awarded the certifications. These will be added to our Building Analyst certification, which was earned in 2009.
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning is a crucial part of what we do. It is a large portion of what makes your house comfortable, safe, healthy and efficient. We are constantly raising our standards and looking for new and better ways to gain performance.
Insulation is a major focus point for us. If not installed properly, insulation will not perform up its potential. We install insulation to the highest standard and, as with HVAC, constantly raise our standards and look for better methods and products to gain performance.
We are proud to be certified by BPI in these extremely important facets of Home Performance.
Home Performance with Energy Star
Eco Performance Builders was awarded the high standards of Home Performance with Energy Star through the EPA. We took nine days of training and committed to perform work to the high quality standards of the Home Performance with Energy Star program. Also, the work we do has been checked and will continue to be checked at random to assure high quality home performance work.
We are proud to hold this certification and will do our best to surpass the high standards of the Home Performance with Energy Star program.
